Real Madrid’s Dani Carvajal has attracted attention in Europe following his recent remarks on Thursday. The defender openly talked about his attempts to convince his international teammate, Rodri, to join him at Santiago Bernabéu.
Carvajal and Rodri are currently teammates for Spain at Euro 2024, where they have played pivotal roles for La Roja. Rodri, in particular, has been highly praised as one of the premier deep-lying midfielders in the sport. Carvajal thinks Rodri’s skills would be a perfect match for Real Madrid’s midfield.
In an interview with Cope, as reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Carvajal openly expressed his efforts to persuade Rodri to join Real Madrid.
He stated, “I tell Rodri every day to sign for Real Madrid. I tell him every day to leave Manchester, that there is no sun there and to come to Madrid, that we need him. He tells me he has a contract… but he would be perfect for us.”
