Real Madrid is close to signing the jewel of Argentina in the current Mercato

Real Madrid, led by Florentino Perez, is reportedly planning to sign Argentine star Franco Mastantuno during the summer 2024 transfer window. The transfer market is heating up as many players’ contracts are nearing expiration, making this year’s summer Mercato particularly exciting. According to transfer market specialist Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid is preparing to pay up to 45 million euros for Mastantuno, who currently plays for River Plate.

Mastantuno, a 16-year-old attacking midfielder, has been with River Plate’s first team since January and has played 18 matches, scoring two goals and providing one assist. His contract with River Plate runs until December 2026. Despite his young age, Mastantuno has already made appearances for the Argentine U-20 and U-17 national teams. However, he won’t be able to move to Real Madrid until he turns 18, the legal age for international transfers.

This potential acquisition underscores Real Madrid’s commitment to investing in young talent, aiming to secure the services of one of Argentina’s promising stars.
