Real Madrid is actively seeking a central defender following Lenny Euro’s surprising move to Manchester United. Although President Perez believes no further transfers are necessary this summer, Vinicius Junior has made a special request to sign this player.

Despite Vinicius’s past success in persuading stars to join Real Madrid and his contributions off the field, he was unable to convince Perez to bring his close friend to the club.

According to Sky Sports, Borussia Dortmund has approached Manchester City to discuss terms for Yann Couto. Dortmund is not willing to meet the €40 million release clause and aims to negotiate the price, intending to invest around €20 million in signing the Brazilian.

Although Vinicius Junior, who has a strong relationship with Couto, hoped Real Madrid would sign him, the club opted to continue relying on Dani Carvajal and Lucas Vazquez. Despite Couto’s impressive season at Girona, he did not fully convince Real Madrid.

Real Madrid plans to sign a right-back in 2025 or 2026, but they need to find a player who can impress them as much as Alphonso Davies did on the left. There is no immediate urgency, as Dani Carvajal has just had the best season of his career at 32, and Lucas Vazquez has also performed well, stepping in as needed.

The network concluded that Vinicius Junior is disappointed because Real Madrid did not sign Yann Couto, and President Perez dismissed Vinicius’s request to bring his colleague to the club.
