Carlo Ancelotti resolves the controversy and announces the player most likely to win the Ballon d’Or 2024

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti identified the player most likely to win the 2024 Ballon d’Or during a podcast interview. The Italian coach aims to guide Real Madrid to more titles this season, hoping to replicate last season’s success, where he led the team to victories in La Liga and the Champions League

In his podcast conversation with Nigerian Obi Mikel, Ancelotti remarked, “In my view, Vinicius Junior is the likely Ballon d’Or winner.” He added, “Carvajal also had an impressive season. He secured the Spanish League and the Champions League with Real Madrid, scored in the final, and claimed the European Nations title with Spain.”

Ancelotti further noted, “Vinicius stands out as a skilled, young player with a strong reputation, having won both the Spanish League and the Champions League, including scoring twice in Munich.” He also highlighted Jude Bellingham’s exceptional season, noting his contributions to the Champions League and league victories, and his surprising recognition as the best player in the league last season.

Regarding Manchester City’s Rodri, Ancelotti commented, “He is an excellent midfielder, among the best in Europe, and maintains a high level of performance.” According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Ancelotti’s remarks upset Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham, who felt he deserved equal consideration for the Ballon d’Or alongside Vinicius Junior.
