Guardiola offers a historic swap deal to Real Madrid: Julian Alvarez in exchange for Real Madrid’s jewel

Manchester City has had a relatively quiet summer transfer window, with only the arrival of Savio announced so far. However, more signings are expected in the coming days.

Recently, Julian Alvarez, who has expressed dissatisfaction with his playing time last season, has made headlines. The Argentine striker believes he deserves more minutes and does not want to remain in a secondary role, playing only in less important matches.

According to the Spanish newspaper El Nacional, Pep Guardiola has asked Manchester City officials to negotiate a swap deal with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez. The proposed deal would see Julian Alvarez moving to Real Madrid in exchange for Rodrigo Goes.

Guardiola is reportedly a big admirer of Rodrigo’s talent and has attempted to bring the Brazilian to Manchester City in the past. Although Rodrigo has previously refused to leave Santiago Bernabeu, the arrival of Kylian Mbappe might make him reconsider.

However, Real Madrid seems reluctant to part with Rodrigo, who still holds Carlo Ancelotti’s trust. Florentino Perez prefers to keep the number 11, despite his inconsistent performance last season, given Real Madrid’s need for a striker with Alvarez’s abilities.
