Former Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho aims to elevate the performance of his Turkish team, Fenerbahce. The team has begun its league campaign and is already out of the Champions League after a 2-1 defeat to Lille in the first leg, with the return match pending in Turkey. As the summer transfer window progresses, many teams are finalizing their signings to integrate new players quickly.

With local tournaments approaching, coaches are focused on ensuring their players gain valuable experience and refine their skills. Mourinho’s Fenerbahce is working to strengthen its squad for the upcoming season to better compete with Besiktas and Galatasaray in the Turkish League.

According to the “Fichajes” website, Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho is targeting two players from Real Madrid’s current squad to boost his team’s performance: Arda Guler and David Alaba. Mourinho’s interest in Guler, an attacking midfielder who played for Fenerbahce two seasons ago, is longstanding. He previously sought to bring the young player on loan and is now planning to negotiate with President Perez to secure a permanent transfer.

Regarding Alaba, the Austrian defender is still recovering from a severe knee injury, but Mourinho is keen to sign him. Despite Alaba’s contract with Real Madrid extending until 2026 and his potential to significantly strengthen Fenerbahce’s defense, it appears Real Madrid is unlikely to release him, especially following Juan Martinez’s injury
