According to the Spanish newspaper “Marca,” Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti has agreed to the departure of star midfielder Dani Ceballos during the upcoming summer transfer window of 2024. Ancelotti officially conveyed his preference for the player to leave to the club management.

The newspaper further reported that Ancelotti expressed a preference for young talent Mario Martin over Ceballos in the midfield, especially considering Ceballos’ lack of credentials under Ancelotti’s leadership at Real Madrid.

The newspaper also stated that Atletico Madrid is actively pursuing the acquisition of Dani Ceballos, prompted by a decision from team coach Diego Simeone, who sees Ceballos as a valuable addition to bolster Atletico’s midfield for the upcoming season. It’s worth noting that Ceballos featured in 19 matches for Real Madrid in the Spanish League this season, netting two goals
