After German player Toni Kroos’s tenure with Real Madrid concluded and he decided to retire, marking the end of a historic career that solidified his name in the club’s history, Spanish media highlighted the advice Real Madrid coach Ancelotti gave to Perez on selecting the perfect replacement for Kroos.


 


The Spanish newspaper AS reported that Ancelotti has identified a potential replacement for Toni Kroos at Real Madrid who would not cost the club anything—Turkish star Arda Güler. According to the Madrid-based paper, Güler, currently in his second season with the club, has the potential to succeed Kroos at the Santiago Bernabéu in the coming years.


This comes as Güler has impressed with his national team in the Euro 2024 tournament and has shown significant physical development during the preseason. Ancelotti believes that Güler has the potential to replicate Kroos’s success at Real Madrid and envisions him transitioning to a midfield role, where the coach feels he could become a future legend for the club.
