One condition separates Laporte from joining Real Madrid this summer

Recent press reports have highlighted an intriguing condition set by Real Madrid for signing Aymeric Laporte, the defender for Al-Nassr and the Spanish national team. After a standout performance with Al-Nassr last season and his participation with Spain in the Euro 2024 tournament, Laporte has been a strong candidate for a return to European football.

Press reports have disclosed an intriguing condition set by Real Madrid for the potential signing of Aymeric Laporte, the defender for Al-Nassr and the Spanish national team. Following a stellar season with Al-Nassr and his significant role in Spain’s Euro 2024 victory, Laporte has been considered a strong candidate for a return to European football.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid is in search of a top-quality defender this summer, especially after missing out on French defender Lenny Euro, who joined Manchester United. According to Spanish newspaper “AS,” Real Madrid has now made a decision regarding their interest in signing Aymeric Laporte during the current transfer window.

The newspaper reported that Real Madrid is keen to sign Al-Nassr defender Aymeric Laporte but has set a condition: the deal must either involve no transfer fee for Al-Nassr or a very minimal amount. It is said that Laporte’s agents are working on a solution to terminate his contract with Al-Nassr, enabling him to join Real Madrid on a free transfer.

The report also mentioned that Laporte may need to make significant financial sacrifices to fulfill his ambition of playing for Real Madrid. Currently, he earns €24 million per season with Al-Nassr, a figure much higher than what he might receive at the Spanish club. Laporte joined Al-Nassr last summer from Manchester City with a contract extending until the summer of 2026.
