Real Madrid fans have been eagerly anticipating the announcement of Kylian Mbappe’s signing. Finally, after years of anticipation, the club confirmed that Mbappe will join on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.

Though the official presentation is expected after the 2024 European Championship, it’s already revealed that Mbappe will wear the No. 9 shirt, a number chosen by club president Perez.

He’s likely to change to a different number in the future, perhaps even the iconic No. 10, currently held by Luka Modric. Mbappe’s debut in the Real Madrid shirt is anticipated to be in the European Super Cup on August 14.

However, if France progresses far in the Euro, he might miss this event. The contract spans five seasons until June 2029, with Mbappe set to receive a hefty signing fee of 150 million euros spread over the duration of his contract.
